We want to thank everyone that has a Von der Diamondburg puppy!

We have had so much feedback from our clients about how happy they are with their new pups! Take a look below!

We will continue to post testimonials as we get them from our clients! We love staying in touch with you!!

Magic

We adore our new family member, "Magic". After researching GSD breeders from around the country for 8 months to find a breeder that puts health, temperament and conformation ahead of breeding for "show quality or high "drive" qualities we came upon Carmen Diamond and Von der Diamondburg kennels.

Carmen was wonderful from our first conversation and supplied us with videos of the pups along with the sire and dam. I asked lots of questions and after a few conversations later I was confident that the Von der Diamondburg kennels would have the puppy we were hoping to find.

I was prepared to drive across the country to meet a prospective puppy match and only had to drive to Atlanta to meet the puppies, parents and the grandparents. Carmen encouraged me to spend as much time as I needed with each of the 3 puppies, alone and away from the others. Before going to Atlanta I selected a puppy from the video. Upon meeting the puppies I had a "magic" moment with the brother of the puppy I had originally had in mind. Carmen encouraged me to switch. 4 weeks have gone by and I am writing this note to express my joy and appreciation to have this new member of our ranch to join our mustang horses, 5 cats and Macaw. Our veterinarians, trainers and friends are truly impressed by this young pup's attentiveness, confidence, energy as well as his healthy state and conformation. My wife and I have a new fellow in our life that will be our trusted companion, guardian of us all here on the ranch, and a friend for life.

Thank you Carmen and your Von der Diamondburg Kennels for giving us the opportunity to have the puppy of our dreams.

Carmen is a very professional and serious breeder but she also truly loves her dogs and it shows with the disposition and the quality of her puppies.

Stella Irish

Stella is incredibly smart and well mannered! She loves to swim and play with her tennis ball, yet plays awesome with all the dogs and little kids! She is Queen down at the training facility where Kevin works with her! My husband, who is not a dog person says "We just got lucky with Stella!" She has such a great disposition they use her as a decoy when they are doing temperament tests there. We are more than happy with her. Truly love love love her and could not ask for a better dog! We can't thank you enough!!

Shadow Update

Just wanted to say hi and tell you how much we love Shadow! She is so very smart and learns easy. We've spoiled her rotten. We already had her fixed at six months. She is in training and doing well. Still of course very playful. At about one yr we were going to put her in protection training and believe she will do real well. She is about sixty pounds and not even seven months yet till the 28th. She is a big girl! Her colors are beautiful. Remember my husband didn't think her color would be what I wanted but she turned out the perfect color! Perfect, very very smart I would tell anyone about your dogs if I know anyone that wants a shepherd. You never know I might get another one after she's a yr old. Anyways hope everything is well! I will keep in touch and send pictures soon! She is a big girl. Love Love Love her! Great dog! Take care!

Audie Update

I thought I would update you on some pictures I took during the winter storm last week of Audie. She was from the Saccara and Mecca litter two years ago and been amazing and looks beautiful.

Saber Update

Recent photos of Saber at 9 months old. He's about 70-80 lbs. Unable to hold and weigh him, need some pallet scales lol. He hangs out of the recliner on both sides now... front feet off on one side, rear end hanging out the other. But he still jumps in it running with any toy like a trampoline. We had to anchor it to the floor to stabilize it so it won’t turn over. He has graduated and now stays out in the house when Cynthia is home with him. They play ball and Frisbee during the day and she walks him on a leash. He shadows me on weekends every step until he has to come in and take a nap completely worn out. He sleeps in his room at night. He's still on dry food and some can pedigree puppy food and he loves it. His winter coat has a lot of blond and brown in his chest and around his neck.

Hope all is well.

Titan

Hi,

He [Titan] is getting big quick! We took him to the vet and he weighs 15 pounds already. We are crate training him and he is making progress. He is very well behaved and such a sweet puppy!

Have a great day!

Smokey and Shadow

Hi Carmen,

Here's a pic of Smokey (on the left). She's very laid back in personality but doesn't like to be confined in a crate unless it's bedtime. She likes to explore and take walks with Katie. She's friendly with everyone but she does guard Katie and gives a few barks at them after the initial hello when they're out walking together. She's definitely not afraid to check out new things, whereas Shadow is cautious. Both are very cute, but its fun to watch their different personalities and appearances develop! Here's Shadow (on the right)...she is so smart and such a good listener. She loves playing games, running after balls, chewing on her toys (sometimes my hand) and having her belly rubbed too. When I talk to her I feel like she understands me. Her ears are standing up all the time now.

Saber

Saber is doing great and Cynthia has him spoiled rotten. He went to vet Wed after we picked him up for shots and worming. Vet said he was healthy and a very nice shepherd. He is going to be really big. He is now 34 lbs (at 11 weeks old) and has adjusted to his room 1st day with his potty training. Ears are not up yet, still working with leash and out in the house but he still likes his room with his bed and toys. Sending picture taken today in back yard. Will stay in touch and send other pictures when he is still enough to get them.

Schatzi

Schatzi (1)

Schatzi (1)

Schatzi is still a very energetic pup. She still wants to get into everything. We have done a lot of training with her though. We use German commands. She has been to a boarding place called Paws and Play here in Columbus a few times, they said she is a sweetheart. The trainer we used was always shocked at how much she already knew. We have not had an "accident" in almost two months now, I feel like she is fully house broken. She is definitely a part of the family.

Hi! Here is an updated picture of Cooper from about a week ago (right photo). Thought you'd like to know he is doing well. He is growing into his nose and paws! He's a clumsy guy which cracks us up.

Kaya

 Hi Carmen!

I just wanted to share with you how much Kaya has been growing. She's

been the best little pooch I could have asked for. We just recently

finished up our first puppy class which she did absolutely phenomenal

in. She almost seemed bored throughout the whole class! On the last

day the instructor gave us a private lesson on beginning nose work.

Kaya seemed to really take to it and did exceptional. I was very

proud. Everything has been surprisingly easy. She has an amazing temperament and everyone who meets her always comments on how well behaved she is. When I tell them shes only 5 months their jaws drop!

Any way, just wanted to pass on a few pictures of her. She's growing

so fast and her coat is getting absolutely gorgeous. Thanks again for

such a great dog, I'll definitely be coming to you for the next one I

get (If my girlfriend allows it)!

Just wanted to keep you up to date of our sweetheart little baby (Maximus)! He's been more than we hoped for. Thank you again. We'll keep you posted.

Scout

Just wanted to send you an update on Scout...he is doing great and growing like crazy! He's nearly 25 pounds now and so smart. The kids are obsessed with him and he is great with them. We're still working on his housebreaking, but he can sit, shake, lay down, and stay-even with his food sitting in front of him ;)

Thanks again!

Alex

Hi Carmen—Here is Alex at 1 ½ years. He is without doubt the smartest, most obedient and dearest dog we have ever had. He knows what we say. One night recently, the dogs were sitting next to Hans at the dinner table and he said to me in a very calm and ordinary voice, “Got to feed the dogs” and they erupted in glee! They know the words! He and Hanna love each other and are excellent in the house. Hope this picture is good for your collection! Cheers! Ann

Alex

Alex

Hi Carmen—Your little man is growing up fast! He and Hanna LOVE each other! They roll and play together outside...they are partners in crime with the holes they dig together! We are so happy with him. Alex really loves us. He makes that very clear, and he will have a happy home!

You have a very prolific pair of dams! Alex was (and is!) perfect! We could not have wished for a better puppy.

Cowboy

Thank you so much for everything! You wouldn't believe how well he has adapted to the new location. From the moment I put him in the truck he hasn't left my side. He slept in my lap the whole way home and every step I take out in the yard while walking around the property, he's right there with me. We've bonded so well so quickly....it looks like it's going to be a very heart warming and rewarding new relationship. Don't worry about a thing, I'm going to spoil him rotten!

A Dark Green Sable Boy

Cowboy is AWESOME!!! He's has grown up into a very big and beautiful shepherd! At 6 months old he is now 65 to 70lbs. He's remarkably healthy and super strong. He has grown up to be such a loyal companion and very obedient. This dog is genetically gifted and hasn't even come close to growing into his humongous paws and long tail. I'm excited and eager to see him fully develop and mature. Thanks a million!

Hey it's Stephen from Columbus. Bought Carly from you back in December and just wanted to show you how much she has grown. She is by far the best dog I have ever had and she is spoiled and very loving and protective of the family...couldn't have made a better choice. Though I do miss her as a puppy she still is wonderful and a very smart dog. She was only 5 pounds when I got her so you can see she has grown dramatically and she loves playing in with water.

Just wanted to let you know we got home and she did just great! No problems at all. We stopped at Petsmart on the way in to buy some food and she did very well in there also. Made herself right at home.

Gunner

Well from the start it has been an adventure for the both of us. We have become familiar with lots of strangers which is a big change for me since i'm usually training, but a positive one. He shows all the traits that a GSD is known for and then some. You were right about his personality matching mine. All I can do is laugh even when he does stuff he is not supposed to do. Still each day is a step/paw at a time and we look out for each other to make sure the other is still there on our walks around the house. My family loves him...they skype me now just so they can get a good look at him and try to get his attention. Thank you so much for matching him with me and providing me with all the information needed to make sure he grows up big and strong. Even my Vet was impressed at how well prepared we were (vet records you gave me) to the point I think she may have been intimidated! hahahaha! I have gotten a car to suit our needs for trips to the Vet, the beach and road trips. He loves it all and clearly knows how to take pictures. Thanks so much and of course i'll keep you updated as we progress in the future.
